조개구이 [grilled shellfish]

From July 25, 2012 Wednesday

Came to lab around 11 15am, started some background research on the mechanics of what I actually did for the experiments, went to lunch at 12pm with Jae Hoon + Young Shik + Sae bom + Seong jin  to a really nice Chinese restaurant and had jamppong for 7000won, got back to lab and had some watermelon, and restarted my background research, then visited Ling for 20 minutes, then came back and continued research.

I thought we were having our English meeting at 3 15, but nope. Changed last minute to 8 pm... So I wasn't able to go because I had already told Ling's lab group that I would go with them to Bukbu beach and was leaving RC at 6 15.

Came back later that night around 12 30am. Ran into Andy at this strange hour, because he was at his apartment for a bit and walking back to RC.

짬뽕 [jjampong] = I think it's a much better version of 라면 [ramyun]. 7000 won

honey covered dessert. really good, but really sticky also. everyone had it all over their teeth :/

 cool by the cash register

walking with Ling to go to her lab lol her building and mine are within 2 min walk
her's is straight ahead in this picture, and mine is to the left

 Life Science building!

inside an information booth on the corner of the street by posplex - a bunch of us were waiting for the taxi bound for Bukbu in here

the AC turns on when you come in! wow

@Bukbu - sort of like the boardwalk

the beach~~~ so close, yet so far... i didn't really go to the beach area -.-

 where we ate dinner

side dish. nomz. there's little things inside, just have to suck it out lol

cocktail korean style; 소주 [soju] and 복분자 [a sort of wine?]

조개구이 [grilled shellfish] omg best thing to eat in 포항 [Pohang]. some topped with cheese, and some with hot sauce

they are all actually still living. if you poke it with a chopstick, it moves!

half half is really good actually!

raw / live shrimp - you take the head off and eat it. tastes the same as if it were cooked

we had half of the shrimp cooked. was just as good, maybe the raw one was better? also, boiled eggs too!

off to 2차

then we see a sign for 팥빙수 and we stop by cafe bene. in our huge group, we said that we would play rock, paper, scissors and the two losers would pay for two 팥빙수s .... I lost -.-

a buzzer contraption they give to you to notify you when your order is ready

the one I bought that was around 9800won? 녹차 [greentea] it was amazing though.

딸기 [strawberry] that may have even tasted better towards the end?

finally got to 2차. making 암바사 [ambasa] aka 소.맥! 사. [soju, beer, cider]

안주 [side dishes]

they're glued down, otherwise, they would've been knocked down ages ago

LOL throughout the night he has been slowly, but steadily, taking a girl's item... at 1차 he sneakily took the other intern's hair band. Then here, at 2차, I went to the bathroom, and I come back to see him with my purse! hahaha

mm ice, cold water! we played many games. a couple of times, we just straight out rock paper scissored it, with the winners being able to choose first which drink they would get (lining up 5 or so glasses, each with different amounts of soju or beer or water). we also played the flicking soju cap, then guess the number, then baskin robbins [number].

 heading out

 getting a taxi~~~

randomly met Andy on our way from taxi to RC, so Ling and I went to use the bathroom in his apt that he doesn't use! :o  went back down and Ling's lab group had reformed and I realized then that I didn't have my bag still -.- So I got it back lol then went to RC to go to sleep!
